Parent, Member and Visitor Code of Conduct

Purpose

Slovak School and Community Manchester (recerred to in this policy as “thee organization”) aims to provide a safe, respectful and supportive environment for students, staff, volunteers and members of the community. This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all parents, members, pupils and visitors when attending classes, meetings or events organised by the organisation.

Expected Behaviour
All parents, members, pupils and visitors are expected to:
• treat staff, volunteers, students and other participants with respect and courtesy
• follow the organisation’s policies and procedures
• communicate concerns or complaints through the formal complaints procedure
• respect the learning environment during classes and activities
• support a positive and inclusive community atmosphere.

Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:

• abusive, offensive or threatening language
• harassment or intimidation of staff, volunteers or other participants
• aggressive behaviour or disruption during activities
• discriminatory or defamatory remarks
• making false or malicious allegations
• publishing harmful or defamatory statements about the organisation, staff or volunteers on social media or public platforms.

Communication with Staff and Volunteers
Staff and volunteers must be treated with dignity and respect at all times. If communication becomes aggressive, abusive or inappropriate, the organisation reserves the right to end the conversation and require future communication to be made in writing.
Concerns or complaints must be raised through the organisation’s Complaints Policy.

Social Media
Parents and members must not publish or share defamatory or misleading comments about the organisation, its staff, volunteers or participants on social media or public platforms. Concerns should always be raised through the organisation’s formal procedures so that they can be investigated fairly.

Breach of the Code of Conduct
If an individual breaches this Code of Conduct, Slovak School and Community Manchester reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include:
• issuing a verbal or written warning
• restricting communication with staff or volunteers
• requesting that the individual leave the premises or event
• restricting or suspending participation in activities
• terminating membership in serious cases. These measures are intended to protect the wellbeing of staff, volunteers and participants.

Agreement
By enrolling in activities or registering a child organised by Slovak School and Community Manchester, parents, members and participants confirm that they have read and understood the organisation’s policies and procedures including the Parent, Member and Visitor Code of Conduct.
Submission of a registration form, membership application or enrolment or participation in any activity organised by the organisation constitutes acceptance of these terms and agreement to comply with the Code of Conduct.

All participants, parents, members, pupils and visitors are expected to follow these policies and maintain respectful behaviour when attending classes, waiting for children at school premises, attending meetings, events or other activities organised by Slovak School and Community Manchester.

Failure to comply with these policies may result in appropriate action being taken in accordance with the organisation’s procedures.
